Ekrem Ozlu

Ekrem Ozlu is currently an assistant professor and soil management extension specialist at the Department of Crop and Soil Science, North Carolina State University. His program focuses on soil health, soil organic matter, and saltwater intrusion issues as related to soil management practices. He obtained my master's degree from the South Dakota State University. He then received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Soil Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison, with minors in statistics and geocomputing. Later, he worked at WK Kellogg Biological Station, Michigan State University, focused on bioenergy cropping systems. He describes himself as a full-time soil scientist, a half-time chess player, and a lifelong dream chaser in guarding nature.
